Sully & Charlotte: A Bond Beyond Sight

Sully and Charlotte arrived at Red Clay Ranch together from Arkansas. Though both horses are blind, they have built a life filled with trust, companionship, and confidence, proving that sight isn't needed to find comfort and connection.

Their Story

Always Together

Sully and Charlotte came to Red Clay Ranch through a cooperative rescue effort in Arkansas. Because both horses are blind and closely bonded, the decision was made to keep them together.

Their friendship has helped them adapt and thrive despite the challenges of blindness. Rather than relying on sight, they navigate the world through familiarity, trust, and the comfort of having one another nearby.

Sanctuary Life

Today, Sully and Charlotte live in a private pasture alongside their companion Pippa. Despite being completely blind, they move comfortably through their surroundings and enjoy a calm, predictable routine.

While neither horse is particularly enthusiastic about being caught, both are gentle and cooperative once handled. Because of their blindness, Sully and Charlotte will remain beloved sanctuary residents at Red Clay Ranch for the rest of their lives.
